The cost is £5 per child, and can be booked by following this link: Visit Santa
Along with Santa you'll find our snow globe with our mystical Snow Queen, as well as a chance to enjoy some family fun on the ice rink. Perhaps we'll even get some snow!!

More about the Performers
At random and in their own words, mostly...
Alastair Fleming. Alastair is a multi-skilled circus performer, specialising in juggling, stilt walking, and fire performances. He's now living and working in the South of England, but grew up in the South Lakes and is very excited to be back and performing again at the Ulverston Dickensian Festival!
Danielle de la Wonk presents 'The Strangest Show on Earth!'. Come be amazed by the many skills pulled from around the world in a true Dickensian style, woven together gloriously reflecting the life and times of a Victorian Britain.
Boom Dang is an internationally acclaimed side-ways drumming street-band. Performing with phatt rhythms, choreography and tuned percussion, Boom Dang play their original mix of Drum & Bass, Bhangra, Hip-Hop, Afro-Beat, Merengue, Moroccan Trance and Maracatu.
Diana Denney, the Itinerant Songstress. A free spirit who sings her songs from the heart hoping to bring some musical magic into peoples lives. With a love of various genres, her repertoire is a mix of well known and forgotten ballads, folk songs and hits. Accompanied by her guitar, mandolin, and two collies, she is not easily missed as she travels by tricycle.
The Great Mandavi. Risking his life for your entertainment once again, this fool will astound you with his amazing skills and quick witted responses!! Fun for all of the family!! There will be biscuits, balloons and flames!!
Drum Nation is a samba drumming collective with bands in Kendal, Ulverston, Penrith and Cockermouth. Drum Nation are an absolute powerhouse of excellence when it comes to bringing carnival vibes to festivals and events.
Our performances are beautiful and lively; our drummers are accompanied by dancers and flag wavers, layering Brazilian rhythms with African beats to get people stamping on the cobbles! Full on drum beats, by the people; for the people.
Clear the runway, folks - Roger Blighty is preparing for takeoff! His penny farthing bicycle has had a "biplane upgrade", and now the sky's the limit for this wannabe pilot. His head might be up in the clouds, but that's as close as he'll get to flying!
Sally Salamander returns to Ulverston Dickensian Festival as the magical Snow Queen. She is looking forward to meeting you all. Make sure you stop her for an icy chat! ❄️☃️❄️
Thank You
Thank you to all of our performers and their supporters for their unstinting enthusiasm for Ulverston's Dickensian Festival. Every year the performances seem to get better and better.
Thank you to all the volunteers and other individuals and organisations that help to make the festival happen. It is a massive collaborative endeavour.
Last and definitely not least, huge thanks to Alex Linney, who provides the sound systems for the main stages. He is truly a sound wizard, who copes uncomplainingly with whatever the festival and the weather throw at him.
