Road Closures

Many of the town centre roads are closed to traffic for the weekend (7am to 6pm Saturday and Sunday) due to the festival, and are not available for parking. There may be other short traffic disruptions and parking restrictions outside these times due to festival activities.

Streets affected by full road closures on Saturday and Sunday are Market Street, Theatre Street, Benson Street, Cross Street, New Market Street, Union Street, and Brogden Street. Please avoid parking there during the road closures.

King Street will remain open to through traffic, but please avoid parking there from Friday evening onwards as there will be market stalls and heavy water-filled barriers installed along the full length of the street from early on Saturday morning until Sunday evening. Any cars that are still parked there at 7am on Saturday morning when the barriers are installed will have to stay there until Sunday evening when the barriers are removed.

All of the town centre car parks will be open as normal, except for Theatre Street car park, which is being used for the festival food court. Theatre Street car park will be closed from 6pm on Friday to enable installation of temporary structures. The car park will re-open on Sunday evening.

There are limited disabled parking spaces and electric car charging spaces in the town centre car parks. Park & Ride car parking will be available at Ulverston Auction Mart, and additional car parking on the grass at Ford Park (after Park Run finishes at 10am on Saturday).
